In human color psychology, purple is associated with royalty and nobility.  As a mixture of blue and red it results in a color that is both warm and cool.  It looks intriguing and distinguished in these bathroom settings.  ]]>

A few posts back I shared with you the amazing pool at the Villa Midgård designed by Stockholm based DAPstockholm.  Since summer is almost over in the Northern Hemisphere, let's go inside and look at the not-too-shabby bathroom of the same villa.  Here it is: I can tell how much fun the architects had designing this bathroom.  I adore the random pattern of the floor tiles, the large mirror taking up and entire wall, and the full height window. The common elements are: clean lines, soft limestones, warm woods and contemporary plumbing fittings. All featured bathrooms are quite generous in size and feature some pricy materials. I gathered a small collection of lovely contemporary bathrooms that very much remind me of our own Naturalist 2. The common elements are: clean lines, soft limestones, warm woods and contemporary plumbing fittings. All featured bathrooms are quite generous in size and feature some pricy materials. Just a little round up of plumbing installations using exposed copper pipes and simple classic cross handles. Although all the images show the rough plumbing combined with vintage porcelain tub or a rough concrete surface, I can also see the copper pipes working beautifully in an all-white minimalist bathroom clad with corian.       [...]]]>
